Announced in February, the 6 megapixel IXUS 800 is the new flagship model in the successful IXUS range. The IXUS 800 IS is the first Canon ultra-compact to feature optical image stabilization, and the first with a 4x zoom lens, generally though it is very similar to the previous 'top of the range' SD550. Basically a 'point and shoot' fully automatic model, the IXUS 800 still has a fairly comprehensive feature set packed into its slim metal body. Main features are :
